Partnering with Abi
The Glades Community Garden Project
Partnering with Abi is excited to announce that we have awarded Glades Community Garden with one our annual mini-grants!
Partnering with Abi had 2 mini grants, provided by our donors, that we awarded applicants this year. The intention of the grants are to continue Abi's vision and our mission to support projects that seek to nurture community growth by fostering development of knowledge, skills, and collaboration.
Glades Community Garden exemplifies our mission in Berea, Kentucky, with the leadership of Martina LeForce and support of Grow Appalachia.
This specific award will be matched by the community of Berea. The funds gifted by Partnering With Abi will provide seed money to leverage additional resources needed to purchase an onsite tool shed and properly operate a tool lending library for garden members and visitors. The tool shed goals also include attaching a small greenhouse and potting shed to reduce the costs of starter plants as well as establish a plant sale that can help generate revenue and ensure the financial stability of the garden.
We are excited to support this project!! Thank you Martina Leforce for submitting the application and specifically for HomeGrown HideAways for being the lead donor in the mini-grants this year!
